The TRUTH about the Gay “Iwo Jima Photo” and the Scathing Response from “Jennifer Aniston”

Nearly 6,000 Marines lost their lives fighting for our country during the Battle of Iwo Jima in the Second World War. It was called one of the most important battles in Marine history. An iconic picture was taken of four soldiers raising the American flag in victory on Mt. Suribachi:

In light of the Supreme Court’s unconstitutional majority decision regarding same-sex marriage, a picture is now circulating the internet of four gay men raising the rainbow flag in the same fashion.  The picture was posted under a fake Jennifer Aniston account with the message:

“Now… I have nothing against people who are into same sex partnerships. However what I do have a problem with is this F**KING picture. How dare you compare your political struggle to what the Marines & Navy Corpsman went through on Iwo Jima. I get the whole meaning of you winning the “Uphill Battle” but this is tasteless, offensive, and disrespectful to those who gave their lives on that hill. You should be ashamed of yourselves for being hypocritical of those you claim offend your flag.”

Of course Jenifer Aniston did not write this. It was actuallt originally written by a Marine named Dan Ericson. He runs Dysfunctional

In fact, according to Vanity Fair, Jennifer Aniston is not even on Facebook.

For one day, Aniston Instagrammed for Living Proof, contributing a #TBT, a photo of her dog, and a snapshot of the book she was reading. Sure, it was just 24 hours and a few Instagrams, but for Aniston—who is not on Twitter or Facebook—it was an intense introduction to the medium.

The picture was actually taken in the early 2000’s by Ed Freeman, but for many people, this is the first time they are seeing it. Naturally, most were outraged.

A user named Leon Guthrie wrote:

“My great uncle, was there. He witnessed the flag raising. He witnessed the horrors of that battle first hand. He would not approve of this tasteless picture mocking the lives of the blood shed. He’s one of the reasons I became a Marine.

Hey Gay America, you’re not helping you case at all.”

Monty Gaither brought up a great question, he asked:

“Those men fought and died for us. What did those OTHER men do for us? Not one thing. Sad for our country.”

But of course there is always a liberal who thinks this kind of mocking is okay. Young conservatives highlighted one of the disgusting comments that read:

How is this disrespectful… Someone explain to me right now. Is it disrespectful because their gay? Because they could never compare to the soldiers? More importantly when did we become a country where you can not express yourself? Hey a**holes if you dont like the picture then dont look at it. So this post itself is so hypocritical. And I will never spend a dime on another f*cking Jennifer Aniston movie. Because yeah those soldiers went through some sh*t But don’t forget that gay people have been beaten, abused, mistreated and often killed for being gay. Their struggle is very much the same. What a blessing it must be to be so ignorant.

I wish I could tell this person to their face how disgraceful they are. The gay “struggle” is NOTHING like what those men went through. Comparing getting picked on for your sexuality to fighting in the Second World War just shows just how far gone some in this country are. If anything, you get attacked more today for not being in favor of gay marriage!! If you can look at this picture and not get sick to your stomach congratulations, YOU are what is wrong with America.
