Liberals took to Twitter this weekend to throw a plethora of hissy fits after the release of the movie “American Sniper”. Directed by Clint Eastwood, the film tells the real-life tale of Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper), the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history.  American Sniper racked up  6 Oscar nominations ,including Best Picture, and collected a massive $90.2 million in its opening weekend. Hollywood multi-millionare and well known hypocrite, Michael Moore, must have been bothered by the film’s success. He wrote a tweet claiming that snipers like Kyle were “cowards†and “aren’t heroesâ€:
“My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse”
It takes a special kind of low life to call an American hero a “coward”. If that wasn’t disgusting enough, Seth Rogan decided to add his two cents tweeting,
“American Sniper kind of reminds me of the movie that’s showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds.”
The film Rogen is referring to is Stolz der Nation (Nation’s Pride), a Nazi propaganda film in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds —a German sniper reenacting a “heroic†episode in which he picked off over 200 Allied soldiers from a clock tower. Basically, Rogen is comparing American Sniper to a  faux Nazi propaganda flick. Gotta love that freedom of speech thing right?
It didn’t take long for Twitter users to start firing back, defending Kyle. One of the best comebacks was from a user named Nathan Wurtzel, he tweeted,
“It’s OK, @MMFlint. So what if American Sniper beat Fahrenheit 911 by a 4:1 margin on their respective opening weekends?”
Even Newt Gingrich joined in and gave a little advice to Michael Moore, he wrote,
“Michael Moore should spend a few weeks with ISIS and Boko Haram. Then he might [email protected] I am proud of our defenders.”
Someone needs to remind Michael Moore and Seth Rogan that the only reason they even have the freedom to sit on their fat asses and tweet such disrespect is because men of honor like Chris Kyle gave it to them. God Bless our troops.
