[FOOTAGE] Disabled Man Hit By Car, See Driver’s Startling Reaction

Police in Sarasota are reaching out for help in identifying the driver who caused a deadly hit and run involving a man in a wheelchair on a crosswalk.

Michael Wright, 48, was trying to cross the street at a crosswalk, when a vehicle ran a red light, hitting the wheelchair-bound man at a very high speed. The man along with his chair were sent flying over the top of the vehicle, as the driver sped off without even stopping to help.

The incident happened at around 8:45, and currently no one has come forward with any details that would help in identifying the suspect.

There is a camera at the red light where this tragedy occurred, but according to police, it will take weeks before the footage will be available to them.

Tragically, Mr. Wright passed away on Tuesday due to his extensive injuries.
