‘Fake Meat’ Purportedly Better Than the Real Thing

If you’re a meat eater you have probably thumbed your nose at tofu and soy burgers. It just isn’t the same. But if science were to create a meat substitute that looked and tasted like the real thing, could you persuaded to switch?

Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) – Beyond Meat, maker of plant-based “chicken” and “ground beef,” will aim for the heart of the carnivorous market with a soy-protein-based hamburger patty called the Beast Burger. Beyond Meat Founder Ethan Brown says their meatless products taste and feel like the real thing and they believe they can revolutionize the way we eat.
