An off-duty Indiana policeman was enjoying Independence Day with friends and family at him home, when he was suddenly approached by a random stranger who showed up at his residence, shocking guests with his odd behavior.
After being approached by the uninvited guest, the off-duty detective immediately knew something was amiss, and quickly told the stranger he needed to leave the property.
“We told him, ‘Hey, you know, this is a family thing, you just need to move on,’†Detective Scottie Maples said.
From there, things went from odd to bizarre, as the man then proceeded to pull out an American flag setting it on fire, where he then went crazed rant about how he had every right to do so.
“And he had an American flag and he set it on fire in front of me and started waving it and saying, ‘This is America it’s my freedom to do this,’†said Maples. “So we were like, ‘Ok, whatever,’ and sent him on his way.â€
Maples and several others pulled out their cell phones and began taking pictures of the crazed man, but it wouldn’t be until the next day that the officer would make a disgusting discovery on his front porch.
Speared all over his front door mat, was human feces, along with several other disgusting goodies, including a personalized note written specifically for Maples.
“There was a needle that didn’t have a cap on it that had been dipped into human feces also,†he said. “And the next step had a razor blade along with a note.â€
The note left for the officer read:
“…burning the American flag is symbolic free speach [sic],†and, “show me your badge wannabe.â€
After reading the note, Maples discovered yet another burned flag in his mailbox, which left him completely rattled.
“The needle really kind of outraged me,†Maples said. “I’ve got three kids and that’s what really made me mad was the needle.â€
Since the incident, local police have identified the man, and issued an arrest for him.
Burning flags and smearing shit. Sounds like the perfect way for a liberal to celebrate Independence Day!
