The first word I think of when it comes to Ann Coulter is “fearless”. This woman holds nothing back when speaking about the problems facing our country. She recently wrote a book titled “Adios, America” in which she attacks the illegal immigration issue head on. To promote her book, Coulter went straight into the lions den to do an interview with popular immigrant activist and TV host Jorge Ramos.
Ramos confronted Coulter about her belief that Americans should fear immigrants more than ISIS. Coulter responds with a little advice.
“I have a little tip,†Coulter told him. “If you don’t want to be killed by ISIS, don’t go to Syria. If you don’t want to be killed by a Mexican, there’s nothing I can tell you.â€
Coulter explains that “there are cultures that are obviously deficient†and that if that were not the case the host would never to immigrated to America.
She has a point. Americans are not breaking the law and crossing borders into Mexico for a reason. As offensive as it may be, it’s time someone said the truth. Coulter describes just some of the problems with bringing other cultures to America, such as honor killings and the way they treat women.
“America is the best in the world, and we are about to lose it,†she warned. “Everyone who lives here is going to lose that.â€
In a ridiculous ploy, an illegal immigrant in the audience asks Ann for a “symbolic” hug. The audience member explains that she has been in our country illegally for 22 years. Ann tells her that she is sick, but I’m sure that isn’t the only reason. The fact that this woman felt so comfortable declaring her disrespect for the laws of our country just shows how much danger we are really facing. I don’t blame Ann Coulter for not hugging her. A hug would be telling her that it’s okay to break the law, and that is exactly what this country needs to STOP doing. Â It’s time to stop metaphorically hugging these illegal immigrants by calling them “undocumented” and saying “well, they are already here.” I don’t care if they are already here, they need to be deported. They can get their hug when they come to this country legally.
